Hi, I'm Nic the owner and founder of CORE Kids.

I started CORE Kids and International Kids Mindfulness Day to help make a difference to the mental health of the next generation.

I have always had a passion for working with kids.  I have been a paediatric nurse for nearly 20 years. When I began working in an early intervention program for children aged 4- 6 years of age, with severe emotional and behavioural challenges over ten years ago, this sparked a further interest in child well-being.  I am extremely passionate about children’s well-being and facilitating the best possible start by providing children with learning lifelong skills in the crucial period of their early development. This includes developing a positive secure attachment with caregivers at the most crucial time in a child’s early years. This is how CORE Kids was born. A one stop place for focusing on Connection. Optimal well-being. Resilience and Emotions. Teaching children through their language of play.

I'm a Mummy to 4 little people and I’m trying my hardest to raise them kind.

In 2021 I published Keys of Kindness, my first children’s book. I wanted to create a resource that parents and educators can use to help describe the different forms of kindness to children.  This book is illustrated by the most magical Oleg Goncharov. He is a brilliant artist and captured my ideas perfectly.
